Bob Bartley and Gypsy met in Guadalajara, Mexico thirty-six years ago. Gypsy was being sold at the bird seller's stall along with half a dozen other scarlet macaws. While the others huddled in fear at the back of the cage, Gypsy hung upside down and screamed every time Bob tried to leave.

After being rescued, Gypsy promptly tried to remove the red strawberry buttons from Bob's shirt. Bob wouldn't allow it and relationship of respect and trust was born. Bob began to take Gypsy everywhere he went . . . everywhere . . . the beach, car shows, and the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Agoura.

One day at the faire Bob realized that he was drawing bigger crowds than the stage shows and asked how to audition. The following year they were accepted and they have been performing ever since.
